I share pretty frequently my different workouts, workout tips, or things related to fitness on my nutrition page on facebook and Instagram. I get asked what workouts I am doing specifically now that I am in the third trimester.

This pregnancy has been completely different than my first. Taking care of a toddler definitely makes it more tiring. I also have had extreme back pain, severe varicose veins, and what seems like every type of pregnancy complication (except heartburn). So, this pregnancy I’ve noticed I am not able to keep up with my same fitness endurance/stamina as I was my first.

It’s no excuse for me to sit on my butt all day though. Once I hit the third trimester, I stopped following any officially workout “plans,” but made my own schedule.

  • Walk 3x week for purpose of exercise (My back is too sore to run/jog)
  • Yoga 2-3x week.
  • Light cardio or strength workouts 2x week

Here are the workouts that I use. They are all Beachbody videos that can be viewed for free for the first 30 days. After that, you pay about $3/week (billed quarterly).  All of these workouts are low-impact and free with your Club Membership. They do not require any additional ‘upgrades’ or ‘unlocks.” They are all 40 minutes or less.

  • Insanity: Recovery (35 minute, stretch & balance) 
  • Insanity: The Asylum Part 1: Relief (25 minute stretching/yoga)
  • P90X3: Yoga (30 minute yoga) 
  • P90X3: Eccentric Upper (30 minute Upper Body)
  • P90X3: Eccentric Lower (30 minute Lower body)
  • Yoga Booty Ballet: Baby on the Way (Prenatal specific 30 minute total body)
